This year, once again, the annual Day of the Seafarer (DotS) will be celebrated on 25 June.

For 2025, the focus of the Day of the Seafarer campaign is to raise awareness about

the reality of harassment at sea. Seafarers, the backbone of global trade, continue to face

bullying and discrimination – issues that threaten their safety, mental well-being, and

professional growth. This year's campaign encourages proactive action across the maritime

sector to normalize an inclusive and respectful workspace, through supporting safe reporting

and accessible channels. A key feature of this year's campaign is the launch of an Interactive

World Map, which highlights support systems and reporting mechanisms by flag State to help

seafarers navigate and address incidents of harassment. Further details of the campaign and
